Farmer's market

On my day off, I woke up early and went to the farmer's market at the Ferry Building.
休日に早起きしてフェリービルディングのファーマーズマーケット（青空市？）に行ってきました。




There was Blue Bottle Coffee, which is also located in the NEW PEOPLE building. Their drip coffee is always popular.
NEW PEOPLEカフェにもある、地元のBLUE BOTTLE COFFEE. ここのドリップコーヒースタンドはいつも大人気です。


It was a nice surprise to see that they sell japanese vegetables and fruits, like Tokyo turnips.
時々日本の野菜や果物も売られていて驚きます。東京ターニップ。（蕪？）



I love Satsuma oranges.(尾張さつまみかんがありました！）



I used a SOU・SOU furoshiki bag for the grocery shopping. It's very handy!
こういう時SOU・SOUのの小巾折は便利。買い物しすぎてあっという間に満タンに。


I brought back branches of quince for the store. Spring is almost here! お店に飾るために木瓜の花を買ってきました。
春ももうすぐですね！

Confetti Pattern

Saru, the very first customer who appeared on this blog, came back! He got our Ise cotton scarf with Confetti Pattern this time.
He looks so cute mixing the outfits from Alice and Pirateswith our scarf!
Saru is working at the Baby, Stars Shine Bright and he is also an aspiring model.

Sou Sou Employee Bio: Chinatsu

Hi, My name is Chinatsu and I am the store manager of SOU・SOU San Francisco.
I am from Kobe, Japan and moved to San Francisco 10 years ago. On my days off, I like checking out the art shows, movies,finding new bakery, and taking polaroid pictures.
I've been wearing my SOU・SOU shoes for 2years now and I find them the most comfortable shoes ever.
( I already own 4pairs..and thinking getting another one soon :) )

もともと神戸出身でサンフランシスコには１０年前に引っ越してきました。趣味は映画とアートギャラリーを見てまわること、新しいパン屋さん開拓とポラロイドカメラで写真を撮ることです。
SOU・SOUの靴は２年以上前から履いてますが、これほど履き心地のいい靴は他にないと思ってます。(すでに４足もっていますがまた新たに１足増えるかも。。）

Sashiko

Today's customer is C.D. and this is her 3rd pair of SOU・SOU tabi shoes. Since she already owns our patterned tabis,
this time she bought the plain black sashiko style.
The sashiko tabi shoes are made of sashiko stitched fabric, which is used for Judo robes. These tabis are very durable and warm, so they are a perfect pair for this season.

Sou Sou Employee Bio: Bryna

Hi! My name is Bryna and I am a Sales Associate at SOU・SOU San Francisco. I am originally from Portland, Oregon and have a B.A. in Graphic Design from Portland State University (I moved to SF in 2008). In my spare time I like to read, play Bingo, and explore the Bay Area. My boyfriend and I use a 1974 Vespa 150 Super to get around the city (pictured above), which can be both fun and scary!

One of my favorite parts about working at SOU・SOU is that I get to be around gorgeous textiles. Well, I also get to wear super comfy yet sharp-looking shoes all day long, and that is not bad either!

(Recently, Bryna and her boyfriend Joe got engaged! Congrats, Bryna!)

こんにちは！SOU・SOU販売スタッフのブリナです。オレゴンのポートランド出身でポートランド州立大学でグラフィックデザインの学位を取りました。（２００８年にサンフランシスコに引っ越してきました）趣味は読書とビンゴゲーム、ベイエリアを探索することです。
ボーイフレンドと私は１９７４年製のベスパ１５０スーパーに乗って町を移動しています。楽しいけれど同時に怖いです！
SOU・SOUで働いていて楽しいのは、きれいなテキスタイルに触れられること。そして、とても履き心地がよくてかっこいい靴を一日中履いていられることです！

Keep warm on rainy days

It's been raining and really chilly past few days in San Francisco. SOU・SOU offers the great cotton scarfs that keep you warm.
