Graffiti in Mission area

You can see a lot of graffiti art around my neighborhood, Misson area. Clarion Alley is the famous spot to check out the graffiti by the young, hip graffiti artists,

私が住んでいるミッション地区ではグラフィティと呼ばれる壁画がたくさん見れます。特にクラリオンアリーは最近の若いアーティストの壁画が見れることで有名です。

There should be the graffiti by the local artist Pnut, who hand painted one of a kind SOU・SOU shoes last November, but I couldn't find it. Does anyone know where I can find his graffiti?

昨年スペシャルイベントでSOU・SOUサンフランシスコ店の限定版の地下足袋をデザインしてくれたPnutsさんの壁画もこの辺にあるはずなのですが、見つけられませんでした。誰か場所を知ってたら教えてください！(chinatsu)

Sneaker Tabi

Today's customer is DJ Foxy.The black tabi sneakers looks really cool with his trendy all black outfit.

Tabi sneakers with shoelaces are good for people who want to try the tabi (split-toe) shoes but are uncomfortable about the traditional clasps. It's easy to wear and they come with very cute polka dots inside liner.

Black Short Boots

Today's customer is Jason. He works for City of San Francisco as the gardener of Botanical Garden.
Considering these tabi shoes were traditionally worn by the japanese gardeners, these simple black boots are perfect selection for him!

Farmer's market

On my day off, I woke up early and went to the farmer's market at the Ferry Building.
休日に早起きしてフェリービルディングのファーマーズマーケット（青空市？）に行ってきました。




There was Blue Bottle Coffee, which is also located in the NEW PEOPLE building. Their drip coffee is always popular.
NEW PEOPLEカフェにもある、地元のBLUE BOTTLE COFFEE. ここのドリップコーヒースタンドはいつも大人気です。


It was a nice surprise to see that they sell japanese vegetables and fruits, like Tokyo turnips.
時々日本の野菜や果物も売られていて驚きます。東京ターニップ。（蕪？）



I love Satsuma oranges.(尾張さつまみかんがありました！）



I used a SOU・SOU furoshiki bag for the grocery shopping. It's very handy!
こういう時SOU・SOUのの小巾折は便利。買い物しすぎてあっという間に満タンに。


I brought back branches of quince for the store. Spring is almost here! お店に飾るために木瓜の花を買ってきました。
春ももうすぐですね！

Confetti Pattern

Saru, the very first customer who appeared on this blog, came back! He got our Ise cotton scarf with Confetti Pattern this time.
He looks so cute mixing the outfits from Alice and Pirateswith our scarf!
Saru is working at the Baby, Stars Shine Bright and he is also an aspiring model.

Sou Sou Employee Bio: Chinatsu

Hi, My name is Chinatsu and I am the store manager of SOU・SOU San Francisco.
I am from Kobe, Japan and moved to San Francisco 10 years ago. On my days off, I like checking out the art shows, movies,finding new bakery, and taking polaroid pictures.
I've been wearing my SOU・SOU shoes for 2years now and I find them the most comfortable shoes ever.
( I already own 4pairs..and thinking getting another one soon :) )

もともと神戸出身でサンフランシスコには１０年前に引っ越してきました。趣味は映画とアートギャラリーを見てまわること、新しいパン屋さん開拓とポラロイドカメラで写真を撮ることです。
SOU・SOUの靴は２年以上前から履いてますが、これほど履き心地のいい靴は他にないと思ってます。(すでに４足もっていますがまた新たに１足増えるかも。。）
